Named Funds
If a company wishes to set up a fund in its own name, the Foundation does seek a single donation, or a pledge over time and the company can decide on the name of the fund which is promoted by the Foundation in line with the company’s wishes.
A company may also wish its staff to be involved with the distribution of the funds. The Foundation (depending on the size of fund) would assess applicants and bring forward a list of potential beneficiaries that meet the criteria set by the company. Final approval rests with the company in the full knowledge that every recommendation has been assessed and approved by our trustees and that grants awarded will be monitored.
The company would select to support projects from one of the following categories:
- Arts & Culture
- Disability & Special Needs
- Education, Employment & Training
- Environmental
- Family Values
- Health & Social Issues
- Equipment/IT
- Sport
...and until March 2011 the Government are match funding any donations made into the endowment through the Grassroots Endowment Challenge so you could give a certian amount now and set aside some in a ring-fenced endowment fund to give long-term benefit to local communities!
A Statement of Intent would need to be completed and depending on the size of the named fund the Foundation would promote and seek applications that meet that criteria or select from projects already looking for support.
