We offer an extremely flexible service to both companies and individuals
who wish to give something back to their local community - Birmingham and
the Black Country.
Its up to you how much you donate and up to you how you donate!
Outlined below are a wide variety of ways you can get involved; as you will
see its not always a straight forward cash donation that we require...
...many of our corporate partnerships work with us via event hosting; producing
marketing materials for us at reduced costs or sometimes even no cost - all
of these ways of donating help our end cause and also help us to keep our
target of 90% of the funds raised going directly back into the community -
that's over 90p for every £1 donated!
...and many of our individuals increase their donation by completing a gift
aid form which enables us to claim an additional 28p per £1 donated
at no extra cost to them!
By supporting the Birmingham Community Foundation we can make an impact on
your local community; raise the profile of your brand or product/service;
encourage teamwork within your employees e.g. by arranging fundraising days
etc, so why not find out more and follow the links of interest below:

Naming us as your Charity of the Year
If your company organises fundraising events on a regular basis; holds employee
team building events; has dress down days to raise cash for charities then
why not think of the Foundation as your charity to benefit.
As you can see throughout our website we support and work with a wide variety
of small disadvantaged community groups, benefiting all members of the community
- so, if you hold regular employee events and raise cash for local charities,

Christmas Card Donations
Over the last couple of years we have received over £2000 in donations
from companies who have decided not to send Corporate Christmas cards but
to donate the money they would have spent on Christmas cards to the Foundation.
This is a great way to donate money to the charity of your choice...

Event Hosting
Many companies hold corporate events, that as well as promoting their service
or product also act as fundraising opportunities for a chosen charity.
Over the last few years we have been delighted to receive excellent support
from:
Hyder Consulting (UK) Ltd - who have been the principle organiser
for two Summer Proms (2004 and 2005), last years Autumn Prom (2006) and this
years forthcoming Xmas Prom 2007;
Brindleyplace Estate Management - who organise on an annual
basis a Dragon Boat Race on the canal in Brindleyplace. This normally links
in with the farmers market and is a fabulous day out for the family. With
a wide variety of companies competing against each other, it is great fun
for all involved and each year funds raised are given to a charity and in
2005 the Birmingham Foundation were the chosen charity;
C3 Consulting - Over the last few years one of our trustees
has organised a number of Ladies Nights with funds raised from the evenings
going to support a variety of women and child projects;
Teamworks Karting (Birmingham) who organised our Karting
Championship for 2006. And where monies raised have come directly to the Foundation
meaning that we can fund a wide variety of projects!
These are all fantastic ways of your company and employees working together
to raise money for charity. So, if you are organising an event why not choose
the Birmingham Foundation as your charity to benefit!
